Chatulah ("we", "us", "our") is a neighborhood cat discovery community. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Automatically collected: When you use Chatulah, we assign you a random anonymous session ID stored in a browser cookie. We collect basic usage data such as pages visited and features used to improve the app.
You provide: Cat sightings (descriptions, location labels, photos), questions, answers, comments, and any cat names or memorial stories you choose to share.
Photos: Photos you upload are stored securely on Cloudflare R2. They are publicly visible within the app.
Email (optional): If you sign up for our weekly digest, we store your email address solely to send that digest.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our guide and library pages. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings. We do not control the content of third-party ads.
We use a single session cookie (chatulah_session) to maintain your anonymous session. Google AdSense may use additional cookies for ad personalization.
We do not sell your data. We share content you post (sightings, comments, memorials) publicly within the app as intended. We use Cloudflare for infrastructure, which processes data per their Privacy Policy.
You can request deletion of any content you've posted by contacting us. Because sessions are anonymous, we cannot identify historical data without your session ID.
Chatulah is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
